Conceptualised, written, composed and performed by Carina Zox and Holly Barnard, fatal disbelief is a music video performance project. Building on visceral, embodied experience of pop music, fatal disbelief embraces theatrical conventions, often seen in pop music videos - hyper-performativity, direct gaze, lip sync, emotional atmosphere - to exorcise feelings of pain, sadness, and loneliness and ultimately make room for healing.
To explore these themes, the body alongside a live feed connected to green screen technology is used.
